I agree but also disagree here, they’re definitely marketing it to be a performance forward car, which I agree it is indeed not. However the m240i is an extremely different car class.

Coupe(roadster) against a compact suv. Def not the same. Also different price ranges, one is obviously looking to please the sport performance market, and the other pleasing the daily driver. Both have their purposes. Wouldn’t expect the X1 to track like a performance car, and I wouldn’t expect the m240i to be something an average small family would choose given the lack of cargo/passenger space.
