I have a 43" 4K TV in front of my Kickr that's mounted on an InsideRide setup. Two fans keep me cool and provide the wind feel of riding. I like Fulgaz as I don't "train" per se and I don't care for the social aspects of Zwift. I find the 4K vids on Fulgaz to be more realistic. Plus Fulgaz is less expensive, which is perfect for me as I don't use half of what Zwift offers.

Next to my bike trainer is my Concept 2 rowing machine. It's also got a TV mounted in front of it that I use with EXR, which is sort of like Zwift except it's for rowers. I just wish I had room in my pain cave for a treadmill.

Last ride of the year. 10 miles got me to my 5200 mile goal. 100 mile/week average. I'm getting more into rowing and functional weight training now, so I'm not sure I'll be riding as much in 2025, but we'll see.

Started cycling a little to supplement my running. Got a fitting done earlier in the week and am now looking to get a road bike to upgrade from the hybrid I have right now.

***Awesome, good luck! It too cold here in my area to ride outdoors (7 degrees Fahrenheit!) so have been riding Zwift several times a week, and doing group rides on it along with some organized workouts, etc...

Zwift has been a game changer for me and it has helped keep me in decent form all year long. I start ramping up intensity at this time of year for Spring races in April ish.

I'm lean and light right now, just not in anything remotely approaching race shape and will not be for about 6 more weeks or so.

Just finished a 30k hilly ride on Zwift through Scotland (the course is cartoon like but the Smart Trainer adjusts intensity, etc.. automatically)

Will ride again Friday.

I have a dual setup and can have a friend with me riding in real time along with others online on Zwift. Very cool. The miles really add up when riding in a fast group!

Cold and messy in DC/MABRA land

I was so against smart trainers and virtual riding for the longest time, but here I am, 6-8 hours a week on Zwift at the moment. I can at least watch tv and the ex-racer in me does find some enjoyment in jumping in week night Zwift races here and there. With no periodization goals, I can flog myself whenever I see fit

Finally got my road bike and took it on a good 22 miler. My immediate area is really hilly so my last longest was 7. Riding on flat ground is great. Really enjoyed it and plan to do that every week if possible.

Gives me more confidence in being able to do the Metric Century I signed up for in April. If I can do 22 without any real training I should be able to do the 62 doing this for a few months.

This is fun. Last week my legs were all jelly but I'm feeling good today. I'll definitely keep this up.

Also rode by that Radar Speed Sign and was surprised it showed me. Next time I'll try and go faster

The first time I tried out a bike from the local bike shop, I went by one of those radar signs. I thought I was flying and had to be doing 25-30MPH. I was knocked down a few pegs when the sign said 8MPH.

It felt a lot faster. Honest.

Been raining all week and forecasts kept saying Sunday was 0% rain. Woke up this morning and it was raining, forecasts updated to like 15% I figured F it and got ready and drove over.

Sunny the whole time until I was driving back.

Faster at the radar this time, but man was it windy. My average speed went down overall. Plus I went to a couple different areas that had a lot of speed bumps.

25 miles and change today. This whole week looks to be sunny and warm, so I'm hoping to get out for a ride every day.
