Loud screech and now leak! Any ideas?

Out for a short drive today, pulled the car over due to a loud metallic screeching sound. My first thoughts were I had picked up a bit of debree and it was caught in ether the wheel or exhaust. On checking all 4 corners of the car, there was no visable issues, other that a slight drip from the center of the car. After precariously letting the car roll a bit the noise seemed to get better before disappearing all together. On returning home however, the drip seems to have got worse. Any ideas what it could be?

I jacked the car up the best I could and managed to get a small video and a sample of the fluid dripping. Appears to be water, with no smell or oil like texture.

I will be putting it in for a service on Monday regardless, but though I would check here to see if anyone had any ideas.

Not sure where the fluid is dripping from, but did you have the a/c on? Could be condensation run off. I get that all the time right now with the wonderful 90+F heat.

That's a shout, the AC was on, so I hope that's all it is. Not that we ever see 90f. It was 21c/69f here today, that's a good day for Scotland it 57f only last week.

Location wise, the drip is directly below the gear selector
