What would an F1 car look like with no technical regulations?

Kind of a cool proof of concept, but if it were an F1 car, it wouldn't need lights (other than a blinky tail) and if was supposed to be simply the fastest thing out there, again, why add lights? Unless of course it's supposed to be mildly street legal.

You mean where Mark held his line and Vettel turned into Mark?

Webber has a bad knack for holding his line, even when he's been passed...
Just say'n.

I dont deny that, just commenting on the fact that mark did not take out vettel in that particular incident at Turkey. That was 90% vettel being dumb. Mark gets 10% of the blame because he's racing his team mate that hard, if it was another car it would be 100% their fault.

Does anybody remember hockheim(?) where webber ran 43 laps on the option tires?
That's why webber is better than vettel |

Vettel changed his tires on the last lap of the race a few races ago. What's your point?

My point is that webber has the skill and calm to not only keep his lead but make the option tires last for 43 laps as opposed to the 10-15 laps most teams run them for. It shows that he is inherently more skilled than vettel who likes to blow starts by focusing only on the guy to left while letting half of the field go by on the first turn

Vettel can also preserve tires very well, as can Jenson Button. The only front runner who really drives the tires right off the car is Hamilton. Vettel is 1 race win or one DNF behind Webber so all of that "skill" has really mattered very little thus far. Don't forget that Vettel was denied sure wins in the first 2 races of the season due to issues completely out of his control (engine problems). Had those not occurred and he was 50pts ahead of everyone, as he would have been, would there be this much shit-talking about him not staying calm or being mature? He smiled and took it for those first two races which is very mature. I would have gone nuts had that been me and I'm almost 10 years older than him.

I never said he wasn't mature. But look at some of the starts mid season. He got target fixated and was passed quite a bit.
I'm not saying that vettel is a bad driver...I think he's very good. I just don't want him to turn into Hamilton who won a championship young and decided that he's the next legend and then let his head get blown up. Vettel deserves better than that |

Again, Vettel made his last AN ENTIRE RACE, only changing them at the last lap because regulations. What's your point then? And yes, he'd be on top right now without 2 mechanical DNFs. He's a better driver than Webber already, and he's 12 years younger. Webber has made pretty stupid moves and starts too, just like everybody else. He can be on top after Korea. In fact, any of the top 5 can be on top after Korea; it's that close.

I thought this was a thread on the X1??
lol. So is this a real car or just a computerized one made for the game? The article is a bit confusing b/c it shows a pic of Vettel driving it that looks pretty real but the caption says he set fast lap at Suzuka while playing GT5
