Very stupid question....

I have the IDrive Navi on my 08' 335i. Can you talk to this thing? I thought i remembered my Salesman telling me you can give it voice commands, but I can't remember.

If so, which button do you push?

For my car, you can use voice control for basic commands, like "navigation", "map", etc. But you can't program your destination by voice, like you can with some other cars. there is a voice button the left side of the steering, and also next to the Idrive knob.

"But you can't program your destination by voice, like you can with some other cars."

My '07 335i coupe w/nav allows voice input of a destination. The command is "Enter Address". You are then asked which part of the destination address you would like to enter. You can enter city, street, and house number as appropriate. The last entered destination will be listed, so if the city is the same as last time, then you don't have to enter it again. It can sometimes be very slow, but the voice recognition is quite accurate for me.

+1 Entering desinations by voice is rather slow, but surprisingly accurate.

Most questions would not classify as stupid.

This is not one of those questions
