KW Spring Kit or Coilover Kit V3

I’m in line for a ‘24 M3 G80 and I’m reading a ton of posts/videos about the suspension/ride height/etc. I’m looking to do either the KW Spring Lowering Kit or the Coilover Kit V3, my biggest concern is the ride, by doing either would the ride suffer or does it feel like stock?

Rolling on my V3's for about a month now, rides like OEM with middle settings on shocks. No experience with HAS kit, but I'm glad I went coilover route.

Appreciate the feedback, I’ve had a handful of cars lowered and the ride suffered feeling every bump. Have a good 1!

If your budget allows, go for the V3s, its a great street kit.

For those on a limited budget and want to lower the height a bit and retain EDC, the HAS kit fits the bill.

Would both deliver a comfortable ride? I’m good to do either but want to make sure I get a known quality product.

Both are intended for street. HAS will be identical to OEM, the V3 drive feel will be sporty, yet comfortable.

The comfort/ride quality with KW HAS will be identical to OEM? That would be great but I expect there will be a (at least a small) decrease in that aspect.

I'm on V3's and would recommend it over the HAS if your budget allows for it. The price difference is substantial but based on your roads/needs, I'd say go for the V3's and never look back.

There's nothing quite like having dampeners/shocks that are matched to the spring rate that inspires sporty driving. The HAS kit was fine for me, but I began enjoying my car again a lot when I went V3's.

Ok cool, sounds like the V3’s is the way to go. Just talked to one of my car guys & he stated the same that the coilovers will be much better upgrade in quality over the lowering springs.

We have had a few people switch from springs to the V3's and the first impression is how much better the ride is.

Hello,

Just installed V3 on my G80. Wondering if you have a recommended setting for it? FYI, am based in Jakarta, Indonesia and for road comparison will be just NY, sometimes smooth road, sometimes rough uneven, sometimes potholes.

KW instructions give a pretty good indication on initial settings: https://docs.kwsuspension.de/ea-KWGFwEA-h686200EQ.pdf

Once installed with some miles driven for a base of reference, you can further adjust to your liking.
