Question on removing stock aribox

For those of you who have removed your airbox, how did you loosen the rear clamp behind the airbox? Did you have to take off your battery rail to do it? Did you use a socket or screwdriver? TIA!

Yes, I did take off the battery rail. Gives a lot more room and not hard to remove. I used a socket.

I use a small, thin terminal screwdriver to get to it. A short nutdriver might also do the trick. It's a PITA no matter what though.

FWIW, when replacing the airbox, removing the entire cowl makes it 10x easier to get the back in place...

Thanks for all your help guys. My Riss Racing intake, scoops, and plenum will be arriving this week from White Lightning and I will post pics and impressions after the install.

Definitely take off the battery rail, this will help in terms of having access to those bolts.

Can you clarify where the 8 bolts are to remove the cowl? Can't find it in the Berger OR SSTT instructions. I installed the JB+ without pulling this, but it took about ten minutes trying to get the stock airbox back in. Next time I want to adjust the JB+ it would be nice to know this...
Thanks!

Ah, missed this on the Burger site, thanks. I had the HVAC filter cover off, so looks like I was 90% of the way there, just didn't see the last two bolts.
