going CRAZY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok here is a delima that I have been racking my brain over lately...............
my current vehicles, 08 335i sedan, 07 charger sxt awd, 96 impala ss, 74 maverick, 64 t-bird( im a car nut, trying to cut back) I have had the BMW for 4 months now, love the look, like the sophisticated(snob) style of the vehicle. I sold my Dodge Ram SRT-10 quad cab to get the BMW, I loved that truck, RAW POWER, a real head turner, so the bmw is great but i miss the raw power of the viper engine. When i got the 335i I had no idea that the M series would also come as a sedan( ![]() ![]() ok so there is my delima, so please chime in and let me know what you think |

Either go for the 08 z06 or the 08 coupe and drop 5 grand into it.... 500RWHP or more! Or wait a bit and spend the $$ on the ZR1 but it will be closer to 100K

Why would you even consider the M3 now? Take a fairly big hit on the 335, for what? Better handling and some adjustable suspension?
You can do all that on your 335 for a few $k.

Do yourself a favor and get the M3. You will be glad you did and have the satisfaction of owning an M car. The Z06 is nice and fast as hell, but vettes are so overplayed. No one looks at them anymore. Everytime I see one, there is a guy my dad's age driving it.
M3 will be your ultimate driving machine. It's new, it's hot and it has raw power!!!

wait for the ZR1 or pick up a used porsche 911 turbo, GT3 or GT2.
Or invest about $5k and upgrade the 335i. I'm sure that with rather small upgrades in the 335i you could easily get 450-500 whp.

If I had to pick between the M3 and the Z06 I'd get the Z06.
If you get the Z06, and then sell off the old cars, you can get a convertible and also keep the 335i So you end up with Z06 as a track car, 335i as the 4 seat performance saloon, charger as the winter car, and some sort of convertible as the top down cruiser |

The only problem with the Z06 is....that the ZR1 is coming out. And once THAT comes out...having a Z06 just won't feel right anymore. I mean the Z06 has more than enough power...but next to the ZR1. It's like bringing a gun to a nuclear missile fight.
At least that how I would feel... Have lots of respect for all Vettes tho. I don't think you can go wrong with it...it has immense power. And let's be honest...the Z06 is WAY more than enough power for normal day to day driving. But a part of me would feel the itch to upgrade again. Having said that...from a strictly image point of view (not that it really matters...but it still is a factor for most people)...Vettes have always had that long associated "guy-going-through-mid-life-crisis" vibe. Not sure if that is something you care about... |
