Help me pick rims for SSII E90
I will be ordering soon and I am still torn about rims.
Suggestions for a 18 or 19" aftermarket rim would be appreciated. I will be getting a Silverstone II sedan I really do not have an eye and have been accused of having no taste (as opposed to poor taste)...

I think the optional 19s from the factory look great, but if you are looking to change it up a bit. You cannot go wrong with HRE P40s or BBS LMs if your willing to sell a kidney to pay for them

I ordered the brushed HRE P40s from WheelSTO. I will post pictures in a few weeks when the set (and my car) comes in!

well u have to have some preference and we can help u with. rims are very dependent on ur personal taste.
just avoid chrome in any variation please. remember everyone and their mom are gonna get HRE BLING BLING so i would avoid those. i would stick to BBS if you want something classy, i'd get Volk if u want something JDMish, but that's MY taste, not yours |

this is the problem...I have no taste ...hence me soliciting help from people whose taste I generally trust and respect as far as everyone in their mom having something... I live in an area where 3 series BMW's are not common..5/7 are rare and M's are non-existent in all seriousness...this forum REALLY does help me out...even if my contributions are not so significant...

What is your budget? You can do anything from $800 replicas to $5000 3 piece forged HREs. I'd personally look into Enkreuz, 360 Forged, DPE or HRE for your car.

probably more in the 1k/wheel range...I would want similar to OEM weight...and average or above durability as we have some car eating potholes..

Easily done with a set of Enkreuz, DPE or even 360 Forged. They are all 3 piece forged wheels and around that price range depending on finish options.

If you want strong, durable wheels, go with some BBS CHs. You will also spend WAY under 1000$ per rim. Either way go with a race bred wheel like BBS, Fikse, or even Volks which are very affordable, also way under 1k per rim.
For strong wheels Id stay away from those show wheels (HRE, DPE, etc). Sure they look pretty good but Ive seen with my own eyes a HRE barrel split in half, DPEs bent to sh!t, etc. Ive used BBS LMs on my M3s for years in NYC and never had a single bend in them. Just some food for thought.... Goodluck
