Hi guys, it is my first post on here, though it's been a while since I read you.

Issue is, I was planning last month to order a M4 Competition xDrive, which became available at the dealer on may 26th.
Dealer says he can place the order, plus they got an allocation available that I could get right now but, there is NO option to spec:
- Laser lights
- Park Assit Plus (360)
- Wireless charging/Wi-fi spot
- HK sound system

They offer me a stock car they just received 2 weeks ago, it is a M4 RWD with Race track pckg (CCBs, Carbon bucket seats (which wife and I dislike) and which has all these options now restricted, with 9% discount (they would do 10% on a custom order, as people are more interested in stock due to the shortage).

What would you do guys? I really want the AWD version but, the car will come so handicapped it is difficult for me to decide, and the situation is not prone to get better.

I would appreciate you opinions.

You can confirm they actually are building G8x with base audio and not HK? That would be extremely surprising.

I can confirm that, dealer even said they expect to not having HK again on G80/82 until 2022 at least.
Park Assist was even removed from the configurator.
Talking about Spain tho, Idk about situation un the US.

If you and your wife don't like the bucket seats….. not sure if you really need to think on that any further. We tend to spend a good chunk of time in them! The discount is good though!

H/K is still present in the Spanish configurator.

In the Belgian one, H/K and Park Assist Plus are both still there.

I hope I won't hear about my salesman before I get the car...

Although it is on the configurator, they are not available to place an order with them.
I asked another salesman from a dealer 200km away from where I live and there are just the same restrictions, that may be general to spanish market.
I think I may place an order without them and hope they become available in the meanwhile before the car gets built, as the buckets dont really grow on me.

My trustee dealer told me that because of the shortage of electronic components a lot of high-tech options are not available.

You can still configure them with it but either you will have to wait a long time or it will be refused by the factory

Get the AWD. The uncomfortable carbon seats will get tiring after one week of ownership.

If you and the wife don't like the buckets and you want AWD then wait for AWD.

The HK sound system is not terrible but it's not very good either. Laser lights are not fully functional in the US. Most people report the phone over heating with charging pad although it works fine for me but this sounds like a no brainer to wait for AWD

It sounds like you've already decided, but I'll add in here that everything I read about those seats is that they are hard, uncomfortable and make it difficult to get in and out of the car. Of course, if you track it, then they're the bomb.

I also would skip the induction charging option (unless it's bundled with stuff you want, as it is in the USA) as it's useless and the phone gets too hot.

I find that the HK stereo is pretty decent.
