Waze with iPhone 5. I need a cup holder mount.
So I just got hooked on this app Waze. If you don't know it is real time traffic, cops, and navigation in a nutshell. I am not trying to plug it but it is cool, beats the navigation guidance and traffic info that came with our cars.
Now my problem is that the app sucks the battery down so I have to keep the phone plugged in. The screen is always on with this app and I need to look at it frequently thus I can't keep it near the factory cradle. So right now the phone sits in the cup holder. So a cup holder mount would be fine they are kind of ugly. I also don't know which one works good with the F10's cup holders. I did look at the KUDA mounts and I am considering that as well. I just don't want to do a big DIY tear up job. I suck at those and I would damage the car. So I am looking for some recommendations! Thanks! |

Just a thought, is there a video in on the factory screen?
Then you could use a video out cable from the iPhone... Might require some coding for video in motion.... |

There is also Escort live that is similar in many ways to waze (I made a funny) but hooks up to your radar and does auto updates for subscribers. Haven't had it long enough to make a call but love the Escort 9500ix. Long story short, with the Escort live option bundle they include this :
https://www.escortradar.com/store/product.php?productid=16271&cat=269&page=1 You can google and buy it solo too Escort Live also eats your phone battery (uses bluetooth plus keeps phone screen on) so you need to keep it plugged in- this mounts many places but can mount to the air vent with great visibility. If you use the left middle vent you can use the power outlet from under your glove box. It's not ideal but can wire more permanently if you like the option |

Soft,
That video out idea sounds cool but I am not the DIY guy plus you still need to interact with the screen. Tuffy, Thanks for the link but that looks a tiny bit on the chunky side. I will look up escort live though. |

I also use Waze on my iPhone 5 and the Real Time Traffic Information is amazing! It's navigation gets you around road construction delays and notifies you of Police, Speed Cameras, and accidents which is a blessing in the DC Metro Area. My wife even uses Waze in her X5M instead of the BMW Navigation system.
Instead of looking down at your phone screen, just pair the Bluetooth on your device and set the audible warnings and turn-by-turn directions. This way you can keep your phone charged via a USB charger in your arm console or a 12V charger in your cigarette lighter.

I got a mount and adapter from here www.proclipusa.com/. Works great and I routed the USB under the console and into the USB for charging. Even works with cases on the iphone.

What type of phone do you have (I'm assuming iphone). You have a couple of possibilities as far a mirroring depending on your answer.
