I have the Driver Assistance Pacakge and have searched to see if I can code for the speed limit info but could not find anything online. Has anyone successfully coded this function? I've read that a FSC code might be required but someone else posted at another site that he was able to code but the code did not stick.

First, at the hardware level, you must have Kafas2 Camera.

If you have that, then you need a 7E FSC Code Imported and Activated in the Head Unit, which will be very difficult to obtain, and costly if you even can.
