Remember, when shooting wildlife and any subject where you'll end up cropping, the lens performance at the edges isn't real important, since you'll usually crop it off. Of course, my 500mm is stupendous, but there's a reason it costs as much as a used car.

I didn't realize you were there.
Hawaiicamera.com they are in Oahu somewhere and I am a bit south of you right now. I rented the 17-55 2.8 for a week and will exchange it for the 16-35 on Monday. They are cheaper than Borrow lenses I believe, no S/H and you are not paying for those extra days. http://www.hawaiicamera.com/rentals/canon/oahu Congratulations on your marriage to Chewy or whomever ;-) a repost just for you.

Haha cool. I doubt you're south of me, I'm actually staying on Waikiki at the Outrigger. So if you're south of me you're in the middle of the Pacific. We just drove up to the north shore a few times.
didn't know about that lens site, oh well. Borrowlenses.com wasn't too bad, I had the $ for it anyway and since I was here for 10 days the 7 day rental worked out perfectly. |
