After Bane breaks Batman's back, Azrael (Jean Paul Valley) takes up the mantle of Batman. Joseph Gordon Levitt's character can not be Azrael if his title name is John Blake.

you really think they would be dumb enough to exploit that? whether or not he really is going to be azrael. nolan is a real maniac when it comes to keeping things quiet.

I don't like how they are wrapping up the movie with only 3... I feel like they could have gotten another 1 or 2 out of it at least.

The best role I can think of right now: Philip Seymour Hoffman as Penguin. A corrupt business man is relevant to today's society and PSH can bring a dark, rich life to the role.

some are now saying that joseph actor guy can be playing nightwing (robins brother) who takes over the role of batman after bruce wayne dies.

all i know is that i cannot wait for this movie. 3 more weeks!

highly doubt that. dick grayson is robin and nightwing. he leaves bruce wayne to take on the role of nightwing.

unless somehow nolan incorporates the nightwing character without involving dick grayson, i dont see this happening.

that being said, I can't wait for this movie to come out as well. the suspense is killing me.

I've been waiting for a year to see this.
I got a chance to see parts of it being filmed around Pittsburgh last summer - the effects that you could see before any of the editing were just awesome.
This truly looks like it will be worth the wait.

lucky! i would have loved to see those "cops" and "bad guys" charging towards each other. saw the videos on youtube and it looked crazy. the fake fighting made me laugh

WHO HERE THINKS THIS BATMAN MOVE WILL OVERTAKE THE AVENGERS IN BOX OFFICE SALES? I am sure both movies will be equally as awesome!!

it'll be tough but a close call.

all i remember was that the lines for TDK were insane (i went on sunday morning, 10AM of opening weekend). I'll probably have to wait for the week after.

I bought my Batman trilogy marathon tickets yesterday... should be fun. Back-to-back Dark Knight movies starting from 6:30pm, with the Dark Night Rises starting at 12:01am.

Supposedly in the movie they leave little hints that Nightwing might be the next character(all items seen in the trailer anyway). You'll see the "R" letter in the same shape as the old Robin symbol within the movie. It was rumored that JGL would be Nightwing because of the character he is playing. Talia Al Ghul is also in the movie, Ras Al Ghul's daughter.

Also seeing as they don't follow the graphic comics step to step, I'm doubting they kill off Batman in this one. They only use them as a guide but deviate from it.
