Woman driving a GTR
On my way home today getting off the highway I see what looks like a brand new silver GTR. I pull alongside at a red light and see a middle aged woman driving. I already have my windows down, and as I say "nice car" I give her the roll your window down sign. She looks down, I thought to hit the button, but then goes on to completely ignore me. The light turns green and she stops at the next light under the light to try and keep me from pulling alongside again. I pull alongside again, and do the roll you window down thing again, but she ignores me. I drive away.
Before you "cool story bro" me. Is anyone else pissed off by this. Isn't it cool car etiquette to at least smile and say thanks. I am driving a bmw, wearing a tie, I'm obviously not trying to rob her or anything. Just annoyed. |

absolutely annoying.
don't worry shes probably never seen anything north of 4000 rpm in that gtr...she has NO IDEA how cool it is. Some people drive cars about which they have no concept. You see them all the time... 60 year old women driving AMG mercedes, or porsche 911s. or M5s!!!! watch them drive and you know they have no appreciation for what they are driving. would be better off in a lexus lx460, or a buick lesabre. |

Yeah most people are dicksm I remember I pulled alongside a nicely modded S4 and I gave the guy a thumbs up and the guy just looked at me and ignored me lol. That was the last time I ever gave someone a thumbs up.
It also pisses me off when you give someone the right of way and they just look at you like you are crazy, no thank you, no nothing. And that GTR is just going to be a waste haha she should stay in the kitchen, has no business being behind such a nice car. ![]() |

Is this for real? Maybe I'm from the land of a$$holes, but do you think because you acknowledged her car, she has to respond?
BMW, suit, self-entitled... oh you're in store for some life lessons. |

well first off, I don't know what backward land you're living in where women are actually allowed to drive cars, but I would move if I were you.
but, that would irritate me too. I saw some guy in a viper a couple weeks ago and he ignored me too. I don't understand it.

If she is hot, she just assumes you are trying to get into her panties like everybody else. Why are you surprised?

There's no "cool car etiquette". Just because you're driving a BMW and in a tie doesn't mean they have to acknowledge you. Some people just want to be left alone and you pulling up for a 2nd time further made her uncomfortable.

Lol I feel you man but some people can care less. I did it 2 or 3 times before with no response so I don't do it anymore. I just wait until someone acknowledge me and usually happens when they drive the opposite way, by that time it's already too late for me to respond. I feel bad at that point because even when I do see them first in a nicely modded car, I don't wave or anything and this has been happening a lot lately.

Try seeing things from her perspective. You said "nice car" to a stranger who had their windows rolled up (so she probably didn't understand what you said), then made a gesture at her with your hands, and when she ignored you and tried to position her car at the next light to avoid you, you did the stalker-ish thing and pulled up next to her again, then proceeded to make more hand gestures at her. And you're surprised you didn't get the reaction you wanted?
