I was in Manhattan in February 2006, when the city was basically shutdown from the 26" it got in under 24hrs. And here in Chicagoland 2011 when they closed everything on Groundhog's day for the 24" they got in 24hrs.

I can not imagine getting so much snow in such a short time.

I was hoping that we would get some snow here. It rains here and there but not enough for all ski resorts to be opened. I heard that weather on the east coast is going to be insane this week and next.
