Bmw Skip the development of the individual apps as they get outdated, buggy, or need updates.

Focus on CarPlay functionality.
Any app that s on your phone can be used, control from steering wheel, touch panel becomes your phone home scrn.
Future proof your technology for years not months.

iOS 8 sucks in general. 7.1 was where it was at. I regret updating at all.

I miss MOG. Nothing can replace it.
what is MOG? i know iheartradio though.
MOG was an excellent streaming service and one of the the few integrated BMW Apps at the time. It got bought by Beats Music a while ago. I use Tidal now, usually.

Split screen is screwed up. Its duplicating the same string on each side so you never see the track name in that mode.

Duh. Doesn't anyone test anything anymore. Its hardly rocket science.

Interestingly this appears to be the first app that allows the app to be actually minimized on the phone so it can be used for other things, without loosing idrive connectivity.

Well actually it doesn't. It doesn't work very well at all. The app integration was so badly implemented it has significant performance issues on older generations of the idrive with the older BMW connected gateway (Combox). For newer Idrive implementations, where the connected gateway was included in NBT it seems to work ok.
