Eighteen 911 GT3s available after race track idea doesn't pan out

What do you do if you’ve put the cart before the horse? Or rather, the horsepower before the track?

You sell the ponies.

Someone in the Netherlands has placed a classified ad on the website Marktplaas offering up 18 – a veritable stable – of brand new 2015 Porsche 991 GT3s, for €134,500 each ($200,500 Canadian). The vehicles have zero on the odometers, and all are identical: white with roll cages, bucket seats, six-point harnesses and extra-large gas tanks. The reason for the sale, offered up by a Dutch car site, is they were purchased by someone who was looking to open a track, but permit difficulties resulted in the plan never coming to fruition.

There’s probably a way to secure a discount if you take all 18 off the seller’s hands, and bring that total of €2.4 million (nearly $3.6 million Canadian) down a little.

Either way, somebody had a cool idea using some terrific cars. One word of advice? If you’re going to buy the lot, get your permits first.

I assume you couldn't road certify them in the US for less money than just buying a 991.2 GT3. Plus they've got the wrong transmission...

Problem is you can't just get a .2 GT3......this could be the move. I'm in on a group buy .........Phil
