It's not noob but its beginner. Get a good lens and it will turn into a professional camera.

It's pretty tough to teach someone who hasn't have any photoshop skills.

I could teach you some basics for photo editing if you want

Guess I'll chime in, too. As someone mentioned earlier, you can take good photos with almost any camera. Technique has a lot to do with it. I, on the other hand, suck at photography and will be buying a XTi within the next couple months.

I like to claim that the ISO on my S3 limits me and use that as an excuse for a dSLR. lol
