BMW Warranty Service History Lookups
I'm in the market for a used BMW (E61) and have been asking some dealers to provide me with a copy of the BMW Warranty Service work to see if things like the HPFP, turbos, or injectors were serviced as part of recalls/warranty issues BMW had issued.
My question is this: Is there any way to look this information up on my own? Or does anyone know a service advisor at a dealer who would be able to supply this? There are a few cars I'm looking at but want to verify history on before I pull the trigger. |

IME CarFax and others only give general information. You need to get the seller to provide the service records as they are between vehicle owner and the dealer. IMHO the seller should be providing the service records up front.

I ran into a similar situation when I purchased my vehicle; dealership refused to provide me with the service records even after I told them that I was the owner of the vehicle.

Any dealer should be able to pull up the service history done by BMW dealerships. I have had them do that for me in the past. All you need is the vehicle vin.

most dealers will not be able to access 100% of the info unless the Car was sold by that dealer orig and the car was only serviced at orig dealer. I can only see what was done by my specific dealer and national recall due/completions. during the maintenance plan much of the info will be in but that is only 3yr/36k now. It contains previous owner personal info so shouldn't be shown. BMW NA would have 100% on a 15yr old car.
