Modern Cars Are Now Jack of All Trades
Interesting article. I feel as though we are reaching a point where cars are starting to feel the same and nothing is special about them like it use to be. Al that has going for them are their badges with the exception of few.

I definitely agree. The German three are creating vastly similar cars, with the choice honestly coming down to which exterior/interior you prefer. Take the new M5 and E63 for example. Within a year of each other, both brands brought out Twin-Turbo V8, 600+HP AWD Sedans that can turn into RWD at the press of a button. The two cars are so similar in more than just their specs, and both drive well that its hard to find any major differences between the two outside of styling. The gap that once existed in handling and luxury between MB and BMW is pretty much gone these days.

I'm in total agreement on this comment. You used to be able to name every car on the road just by looking at them, now however you must look for the badge or the grill to find out what it is you are looking at. Now where I live the PU truck is in the majority especially in the winter and deciding on make is even more difficult than the automobile. Even when it comes to super cars it looks like the designers all attended the same classes at the same school. I wish that a solution was at hand but I doubt there will be much in change.
