Current Models in 2 Day M Class

Anyone do the 2 day M class at the Spartanburg BMW Performance Center recently? I am trying to find out if the new M4 or M3 are one of the cars you drive. The website indicates you drive the M2, M4, M5, and M8. The M4 pictured is the F82 version. I am signed up for the class in Feb. '22 and would hope that they have updated the M4 version by then. It will have been a year since the introduction. Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm assuming they will use the G82 M4. I was there during the summer and I saw a ton of G80/82's, and no F82's.

I went in August (made a post about my experience on the forums if you’re interested) they have the new g8X, m2 comp, m5 comp. They also had the M8 but due to some issues with them, our class never got to use them.

Sweet! Exactly what I was hoping to hear. I looked up your review post of the 2 day class. Great job! Now I'm really getting excited. Thanks!

It exceeded my expectations. You’ll really get to experience these cars at their limit and gain a whole new appreciation for what they can do. Have fun!

Be sure to take something for nausea or motion sickness if you are at all prone to that. Some of the longer lapping sessions with hard braking into tight turns weren't kind to my stomach. I took zofran both days and it seemed to work well enough.

I wouldn't count on the M2 as it is not current production.

I went to the one day school, and the guy they paired me up with could not ride passenger. He was seriously going to hurl, so he had to get out before each of my sessions.

Lol. It's funny, on the little road course they have a pit row that you can pull into in case your passenger gets nauseated. Apparently that is more common than one would think.

Well, as long as he didn't do it over you; it is good.

Yea, there is no way I could ride passenger on any of these things. It was bad enough with me driving, bad enough by the end of the hotlap with the instructor and really bad in the passenger seat with my friend driving Tail of the Dragon. My stomach is fine with blood and guts in the ER, but not with rollercoasters and twisty roads.

The F is gone. You'll get the new G.

The M2 is still there, but not for much longer. Not sure of their expiration date.

The M8 is getting more rare to run, and you probably won't get it at all.

You'll spend most of your time in the M3/4 and M5. It's a blast.
