It's a rather lengthy thread ( https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1922635 54 pages so far) but for those of us in status 193, aka 'At the Port', has been some mention of M4s going out and M3s sitting there. I have an M3 MT that's been at the port for just over a month now.

Most likely due to the chip and other shortages every manufacturer is experiencing. Just for kicks I visited a Mercedes and adjacent VW dealer yesterday while they were closed and walked the lots. Both had few if any new cars.
