Whats the best DVD copying software?
I have a newer Toshiba laptop w/ a DVD burner. What software should I try out that will let me copy my DVD collection. I want to keep some copies at my beach house.
Never tried burning a DVD...is there encryption?

Yes. There is encryption.
Get AnyDVD and it will unlock practically everything for you. It runs in the background, and because it is active, you can use any burning software you want to copy the DVD, as the system thinks the DVD is unlocked because of AnyDVD. AnyDVD also has updates like every week, so you can be assured that if you have a new DVD, the encryption is cracked or will be cracked rather shortly.

Well if you wanna go the free route, I would recommend the following...
DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab Decrypter for decryption DVD Shrink for compression in case you are burning to Single Layer DVD's and DVD Decrypter for burning side note: you might have to dl an older version of DVD decrypter (I think 2.5.4.0 was the last good version) |

+1 on anydvd - great program - just runs in the background silently decrypting everything - you can then use anything you want to rip/burn etc.. If you want a low resource non install app - try imgburn http://www.imgburn.com/
