Hi folks,

Got my X1 in May last year and honestly have enjoyed the car a lot. Great driving experience. However 2 months back when it started getting colder (Canada winters) I took it for a tire change and it started to rattle in the driver side door which I diagnosed to be the door pin. Sent it to the dealer 3 times before they were able to recreate the noise and fix it. I also had to get a alignment done and now I hear the car having this plastic creak from the rear passenger area. Had a few questions?

1. Do you think the dealer doing the alignment might have caused the issue?
2. I've applied gummi pflege to the door seals but the sound is still there.
3. When I press the plastic trim just below the rear passenger airbag the trim creaks / squeaks so I'm thinking its that. The driver side trim in the same area is noise free. Any tips on how to deal with this? Silicone spray? Any other tips would be really appreciated.

I don't want to take it to the dealer again ideally since my experience with the service advisor has pretty awful i.e. no knowledge of known issues with the car and don't want to risk them introducing more noises.

Hola. Yo también tuve un crujido por esa zona que indicas. Finalmente fue del techo solar. Rocié por todo el techo, desde fuera, con grasa de silicona en spray. El ruido se ha ido. Te copio enlace del foro alemán. Mi coche también es de mayo fabricado en marzo. Espero que esto sea tu caso. Saludos.

Inglés: Hello. I also had a crackling sound in that area you indicate. Finally it was from the sunroof. I sprayed all over the ceiling, from the outside, with silicone grease spray. The noise is gone. I'm copying you link from the German forum. My car is also from May made in March. I hope this is the case for you. Best regards.
