X2 28i M Sport and Pro (Ordered) (reasons why)
Hello All, new buyer to the community. Jan 20th I placed a deposit on a dealer allocated 28i w/ M sport and pro package. We have just been notified that our production week will be 7 (Feb 11th) and expect delivery in 2-3 months.
Why did I choose the X2: I want a car that can take my small family (wife, 9yr old son, and tiny dog) reliably and w/ hints of sportiness and class. Also at almost 50 yrs old, i want a car i can easily get in and out of that will also be safe when we head north to visit family in the winter conditions. In addition, a major component I wanted was to also have a above average stock info and sound system (we upgraded this package). After doing my due diligence with other brands, I decided to take the blind leap of faith with BMW to deliver on these expectations. I am not looking to take this car on a track or drag race, just looking for something to get a little excited about driving rather my current bus of an SUV. As for appearance, when I first saw the car online, I thought it looked aggressively classy. When I went to the dealer and saw the X6, I thought it looked awesome but a bit too large and figured the X2 was going to be the perfect size that would not break the bank on the purchase or at the gas pump. I am also hopeful that my wife is really going to enjoy taking my son to school everyday in this car and offered her to chose the color. To my surprise she went with vegas red which i think is an excellent color choice and will look pretty cool with the red calipers. For those on the tread that are concerned about the M dilution, I guarantee that if the X2 delivers on my above expectations, others like me will flock to this car which will increase profits and increase innovation for future production lines. |

Week 10
I got a production number on 2.18. It looks like I'm scheduled for week 10, with production being completed on 3.8.24. Who knows how long it will take for final delivery. Either way I'm excited!

Week 10
I'm currently driving an x4. I saw the new design of x2 and was drawn to the aggressive, yet classy stance it has.

As the owner of a brand new X1 and from what I can tell the X1 and x2 are basically the same but one has the sports back hatch. I can tell you you’ll love it. It’s super fun to drive but very comfortable.
There are some quirks with the infotainment system that take getting used to. There is a thread here about best and worst features. https://u11.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1996161 |

My dealer placed the order for my iX2 on 28th February and they submitted week 20 (mid May) for production. Waiting for the factory confirmation but hopping for an earlier production week
