CarPlay Audio Lag/delay
When I play anything on my phone and CarPlay is connected, there is a signicant delay in the audio. i.e, after pressing play on my phone, the audio will start after 2/3 seconds, and after I press pause on my phone, the audio will continue for few seconds. This very is apparent when for example playing YouTube when CarPlay is connected. Bizarrely, when using the native car Bluetooth, and not using CarPlay, the audio is in perfect sync. Does anyone else have this problem and is their any solution. I’m on iDrive 9 with version 11/2023.42.

I tried making calls using BMW idrive alone, still the lag is present. Tried switching different mobile phones, it is the same.
I am afraid, this isn’t the typical Bluetooth connection problem. But with the new update that came couple Werkes ago. But @ X1_ x23d, were you able to resolve the issue ? |

Have you noticed if the lag always occurs in the same places?
It happens to me every day on the way to and from work (about 50 minutes on the road) that when I reach a certain point on the route the audio skips for 2/3 seconds a couple of times. Then I also tried to make trips of 1 or 2 hours without problems, but when I pass by that point the audio skips, as if there was interference external to the car. |

If I'm playing a video on YouTube or watching videos on Instagram or other social media app, the audio is delayed by a second or two while connected to CarPlay. If playing music through Apple Music or Spotify, it's fine. I've learned to just deal with it as it's not something I frequently do while in the car.
The other issue that I have with CarPlay is that the audio cuts out in specific locations, I've identified two so far on my regular drives. This isn't specific to the X1 though, as I had it on my previous BMW with ID7. My only guess is that the locations where this happens are areas near TV station broadcast antennas and it's causing some kind of interference. One of those areas is also a spot where my TPMS sensors on my old e90 would error out until I restarted the car.
