Saw this banner on my online Connected Drive Page. Is this feature coming to X1?

But I can’t find any way to unlock the trial.

Open the app and along the bottom click on the shopping bag and it should show what is available click on driving assistant plus click 3 month free trial and add to basket then checkout.

Not a new feature to the X1.
The car comes with all the equipment needed for DAPlus as standard, but since you didn’t option this when ordering/purchasing the car, you can activate the free trial and then buy it outright if you want.

I paid £1500 for Driving Assistant Professional 5AU when I bought the car. Is this trial something on top of what is already available??

The driving assistant professional has everything that comes with the plus and also includes the warning triangles in the mirrors to notify you of vehicles coming on the near side/off side.

As Tunners said,
The Pro has everything the Plus has and more. So you shouldn’t be getting this message at all. The DAPro is the top spec for the assistant packages.

Go to https://bimmer.work and enter your VIN there. Then go to the options tab and check that you have the “5AU” option listed there.

I was referring to driving assistant pro. Which is what he optioned with his car. If 5AU is not listed, then BMW made an error with the order

It’s annoying that BMW doesn’t have an easy to decipher table that compares what each of the packages includes. If they do, I haven’t found it on their website or brochures.

They wouldn’t make such a table as it is constantly changing. When the X1 U11 first launched, many options came as standard. And packages came with different different options. The comfort package at launch had more included options than it does now. Same goes for the innovation package. They keep changing it
