Strange buzzing from Wireless Charger
Since I have started to do a more thorough check of my X1, I noticed that the wireless charger fan seems to be buzzing louder than it should be. It almost sounds like there is some sort of debris in the fan, or it may be rubbing on the plastic surroundings. Can anybody else confirm if this is what it sounds like for them?
Another important note is that this seems to only happen right after I turn the car on and put my phone in the charger. It does NOT do this at all after I have been driving the car for a while or I decide to take out my phone from the charger and put it back on at a later time. |

Fan sound should be very low, unnoticeable really.
Though you did not ask, there are many treads discussing how useless the wireless charger is. If it charges at all it’s slow & minimal at best. If you have WiFi & Bluetooth on you will quickly realize will it will not charge phone at all. 🪫 |

Interestingly, after the first initial startup of the day where it sounds like something is buzzing, I can hear the fans as the whooshing sound described by bimmernurse . It’s weird, maybe the fans go in max speed or something during initial startup, or maybe the plastics within the module are contracted from being cold?

I have the same sound sometimes, when I first start the car and use the charger.
