Ordered BMW X2

Hello, I'm new here. We ordered our 2025 X2 on 8/31 and we have been following it's progress on mygarage.bmwusa.com. We noticed that it moved from "At The Port" to "In Transit" on 11/11 but, then we noticed on 11/20 that it had moved back to "At The Port"

We have reached out to our sales rep but, he has not returned email, voicemail or text. We find this really weird since in the past he has been very responsive to any questions we have had.

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone here has experienced anything similar. Of course our thoughts go to something has happened to the car and if it has been damaged in any way we don't want to purchase the car but, not really sure how to find out if there was any damage.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Hi! Your car is fine! It might actually be at the domestic port!! Otherwise the ship ports a bunch throughout the travel. It could have also temporarily been moved to shore elsewhere.

Does whoever you're dealing with have a manager? You need to speak with them. They can update you, including the name of the ship your car is on, and you can track it yourself. Unless it's at the domestic port and then you're almost there.

I ordered 8/20 and took delivery of the car on 11/8 here in Denver.

If for some reason your salesman doesn't have a manager (I don't know how that would be!!) you could use the VIN and call BMW corporate.

The BMW production app is fairly good up until the point you mentioned. Same thing occurred on my 2024 build last December & it was actually in NJ & on its way to dealer. Call BMW Genius team & they have better visibility than the app. 👍👍🤞
You will be Happy
Good luck

Call the BMW Genius line and give them your VIN. They’ll be able to tell you the status of the car, what ship it’s on, etc. when my car was being shipped I called them and he was able to tell me the ship and it’s most recent location update. Once it reached the West Coast I called again and they gave me an update about when it was expected to leave the VPC and then transition to another boat to be shipped here to Hawaii. Mine flipped to at the port/In transit a few times before it arrived here, that’s normal.

Thank you to all of you. We received the call today that the car was ready for delivery. My wife wanted to go right away so the car is now in our garage. Thanks again for calming my nerves.

Isn't that normal? Wouldn't it be "at the port" in Germany, then "in transit" to the US, then "at the port" again in the US? When I bought my car 2 years ago, my SA gave me the name of the ship my car was on, and I was able to track it across the Atlantic (except the precise location couldn't be determined when it was far out to sea).

The x1 that I ordered in mid October has been "at the port" for weeks at this point. An email to BMW Genius got the response that the "last info they have" is that it was awaiting carrier assignment as of 11/11, yet according to the tracker it had passed that stage quite awhile back.

While I am excited to get the car, I am not in no-transportation situation, so I guess I don't care enough to call my sales guy and/or the manager at the dealer.

Hopefully the status changes soon, I'd prefer not to get worried about this.
