Flashing screen
Hello,
I have encountered today for first time issue with my 4 month old car. The central screen is encountering some intermittent flashing on and off every now and then. It happens randomly, no relation to driving or not, almost every 30 seconds or so. It works normally and then it flashes quickly gray (like old TV snow) and then very quickly black and then recovers. It’s like a faulty connection.Anyone similar issues? Yesterday the car was parked and there was very high amount of humidity, maybe this has to do with it. Also the alarm was deactivated (although the car was still locked) and this makes me believe that may be a problem with the small battery of the car. It’s an 25e model that I was running this month fully electric and I am thinking that maybe the battery needs a run with the motor on. Will have to check again when back since I am off now for 3 days away from home. If anyone has an idea of what it might be… |

No I’ve not seen that before. But when the BMW ID9 SYSTEM HAS BEEN GLITCHY I HAVE ALWAYS DONE A “HARD RESET” & IT APPEARS TO ELIMINATE MOST ISSUES.
* START CAR & LEAVE IN PARK * THEN PUSH & HOLDING DOWN THE CYLINDER VOLUME CONTROL ON CENTER CONSOLE UNTIL THE SCREEN CYCLES OFF & ON 2-3 TIMES. You should see a bunch of moving lines on the screen cycle off & on 2-3 times. This should take about 1 minute. Good luck. Last edited by markronnie; 11-30-2024 at 02:57 PM.. |

Yeah that’s the only thing that I haven’t done. I did only a soft reset.
First I will see if the problem remains after 3 days that will take to drive the car again, secondly will try the hard reset, and 3rd I will try driving in sport mode to check if there’s any issue with the battery of the car. Thanks |
