Any thoughts on front lip on iX1?

Curious on thoughts on front lip in gloss black for an EV. Looking to add this thin lip on to my Alpine White car. Hopefully to give the car a little more contrast in the sea of white.

For 80USD, does this look out of place on a white car?

I am assuming this wouldn’t screw up the aero so much that the range would be noticeably affected (or am I wrong here …)

I installed the OEM front lip on my iX1 today. It’s smaller than the one you posted and, in my opinion, looks better, especially for an EV.

Here’s the link with some pics: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30515175

@ramen.slayer …….I think the pic looks fine, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I have a really strong opinion based on experience about buying non-oem body trims like this and that is very often the pictures look great, as does the price. Amazon and other sites like e-bay are full of these products and many seem too good to be true. Some actually are good. Maybe I’m unfortunate, but when I’ve bought I always end up regretting it and buying OEM or well tried and tested and generally more expensive than OEM bolt ons. The reason is always quality of manufacture and/or accuracy if fit.

Dont know if that helps, just one persons opinion.

Very good points. I didn’t even realize the M35i has a lip. Let me dig that out. Just want to give the bumper a bit more of a finished look. Somehow the original bumper looks like it’s missing something … then I guess BMW deliberately left it that way to give the more premium model room to have a little-something more lol

Does this require drilling or any other modification to the original bumper? Would it be 100% reversible for example in case of a lease vehicle?
