Finally had my car updated to 11/2023.42 just before Christmas. This was due to not having the Augmented View and Drive Recorder. Augmented View has now started to work but Drive Recorder app is still missing. However, I have noticed a bunch on new Apps showning in the Connected Drive Store such as Drive Recorder, AirConsole Games, Videos etc, however the actual apps are not showing in the App Library. Anyone seeing the same?

Isn’t this part of the premium subscription they are offering on ID9? So you might be able to get it all but only if you pay extra ££ to get it.

I think it is but I have the BMW Digital Premium subscription still active as part of the initial free trial. After that £9.95 a month or £99 for the year. But the apps are not showing so if I’d actually paid for it, I would be wasting money. Some bug that BMW ought to fix.

Ah gotcha did wonder about the trial. Probably needs a reboot maybe or it's another bug. The issue I have with this is that you need to pay for elements in ID9 that are standard on ID8 which is a bitter pill, yes you do get more features as a bonus but not sure I agree with some of the features like the enhanced maps now being premium that were always a differentiator for BMW, now its an annoying additional cost.

I let the premium subscription trial finish. I was offered another 3 months trial. Now the apps work such as AirConsole but Drive Recorder still not working. Also the Video App icon has changed and there is no YouTube even though the description says YouTube. Also there is no Expressive or Relex Mode, only Digital Art.

Does anyone know if the Youtube app supports Youtube music (ie. Google's version of Spotify)? If it does, between that and PocketCasts being available I may be tempted to update to Digital Premium....

No it doesn’t. It’s just the standard YouTube interface with no special Music controls. You can only listen to Music through the usual videos and it will continue to play audio whilst driving but you won’t have the ability to change tracks etc.

Dammit! That's too bad but thanks a ton for your info! I'm in the unfortunate position that Android auto doesn't work (disconnects) and the dealer tells me there is no Software update available (from 3.24). I'd have been willing to get Digi premium if YT music worked.

The software in this vehicle is absolutely rubbish.
