New MacBook Pro
Anyone got one yet?
I'm waiting for mine to come in... should be here Wednesday and can hardly wait! My preciousssssss... Got the current one 2 days after Apple released them with Intel Core Duo, and it's been a good sport, went through some battles and had to be sent in couple of times. Other than that it was the best laptop i've ever owned. But my AppleCare is going to expire in March and I just wanted something a little faster. Hoping someone would release a screen overlay/protector to take the shine off the glass surface. It works great on my iPhone, so i thought work OK on a bigger glass surface

I have the original MBP as well, but seeing as I don't use it too often (use a 24" iMac mainly) I can't see myself getting a new notebook to sit around and collect dust.
I saw the new MB at the local Apple Store and am not too pleased with the ultra shiny coating. My iMac is glossy, but I have easy control of my room to reduce/eliminate glare. With a laptop, you don't have the luxury of being able to adjust the lighting when you are out and about. |

I have the new MB and love it. The glare isn't really the problem, it's more of a reflection problem. Reflection in the sense that you can see yourself in the screen when it goes black....so sometimes you can see yourself while surfing...every Narcissists dream rofl
but other than that, it's super quiet, the AL doesn't burn you, new trackpad is super smooth, multi-touch is the isht and it's built very solid. I'd recommend to fully charge and discharge the battery at least 3 times to get the max out of you battery and to make your computer learn the battery.
