Apparently, BMW is working on a new system for comfort access. It is several years away but it involves miniature RFID tags placed sub cutaneously in the driver.

No more keys!

Ha Ha just kidding but I am sure that technology will come soon! I saw it on Mythbusters already and current uses are for storing medical records
