The PT Cruiser was huge when it came out. I think they gave some inspiration to the Chevy SS (that weird pickup). Even the HHR has similar cues.

Viper and honda 2000 gone ? that sucks, but i heard on road & track that they are coming out with s3000 or some shit like that, but viper is trully sad, i think those cars will be like 1965 mustangs from 50 years from now, selling at auctions for over 100+.

I cant believe a lot of you think its bad that the vipers going out lol. Chrysler/Dodge sucks, they always mess up and dont last long compared to a chevy, only thing I ever liked bout the Viper was the body the hell with the engine.. ill stick with chevy... and as for the PT Cruiser going out... well Chevy always does everythn better thats why the HHR is still in play.imho

I dont like Viper but that's what makes the SRT brand so cool. It will be sorely missed
And S2000 is a great car. It cant be extinct. I'm sure there's a replacement coming for it Quote:

The HHR was designed by the same guy (Brian Nesbitt) that designed the PT Cruiser. In fact, when he designed the PT Cruiser, he was working for Bob Lutz at Chrysler. And when he designed the HHR, he was working for, you guessed it, Bob Lutz at GM. And it hasn't been anywhere near as successful for GM as the PT was for Chrysler. And you guys that are haters, you have yet to prove why MY car was a POS other than the fact that you don't like the retro styling. And yeah, using a base level, automatic equipped rental that has been abused by people that didn't own it as a basis for judging an entire line on is kind of silly. It'd be like saying you don't like M3s because you once drove a high mileage, automatic equipped 318.

as for the PT not having problems, congrats... My dad's Chrysler Town and Country was a huge POS... problems left and right, excessive rust, the whole 9 (bad) yards.
And you could get a Honda CR-V or Hyundai Santa Fe and not have any problems as well... |

Car companys are just trying to stay in business.
If the world economy continues to sink, we may all need a PT Cruiser to live in. Mini vans may be to expensive. |

Another car you won't see after 2009 is the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Not surprising based on its price, and other factors. But (IMO) it is one beautiful car!
