What is the big deal about Twitter?

I don't get it. I went to the website, signed up, and... this shit is stupid.

What am I missing? I also think Myspace is pretty lame so maybe that is the problem.

Yeah, I will most likely use it for pre and post race updates. I integrated it into my main site now, so my fans can find it easily.
