Last night after a yummy 5 hours long christmas dinner at my uncle & aunt, i drove back home with my best friend with a happy feeling.

it was 02:00 after midnight (i m always confused of the american am/pm ) . my friend was driving in his VW Golf GTI the fifth generation and me in my E90 325i . there were almost no any other cars on the highway, so it was very relax .we both were just chilling u know, cruising at the topspeed +/- 240km/h (150 mph) beside each other on a 2 lanes' highway .

but ... suddenly i noticed some bright lights in the mirror. a car was approaching very quickly from behind. 10 seconds later it flashed 3 times , it seemed it wanted to pass us . at that moment it was at a distance of +/- 150 meter behind us . we slowed our speed a little bit at +/- 220 km/h . then my friend pulled this GTI behind me immidiately to let that unknown object overtake . the sound of that thing when it passed me , i'd never forget ! it was the Ferrari F430 Spider in black with the soft top/roof on . we can catch up with hem , yes we can we silly thought ...... but what the hell !!?? i thought that car had a speedlimit at +/- 280km/h ? obviously the driver of that italian beauty wanted to show who actually the king of the road was . he was gone in about 90 seconds . the taillights of it disappeard in the dark . we couldn't believe our eyes at that "high" speed of ours .
at home i searched for the topspeed of the F430 : 316km/h ( 197,5mph) !
but at that moment on the high way i felt it was much much faster . anyone knows beside Novitec , the tuner of the ferrari's , any other tuning companies could make that car faster than 348km/h ( 217,5 mph ) ?
it was so insane ......

my mother's friend owns one...but the exhuast sound didn't impress me at all...sounds like a motorcycle.....and not much a deep tone sound.....

Yeah I know exactly what you're talkin about. I was about 8ft away from one a while back. When he took off he exhaust sounded hollow, not deep and solid.

Wanneer het 's nachts rustig is hè? Dat kan maar op een paar plaatsen zijn, het is bijna overal druk, zelfs 's nachts. En ach die snelheid moet kunnen denk ik...

OT: JOOP is inderdaad bekend van de 'geurtjes', maar ook van een complete kledinglijn en ik vond het wel toepasselijk: 't is ook mijn eigen naam

The sound of that moaning italian chick would maybe hollow or not solid or not deep when it takes off/accelerates . but it scared a " kid " like me quite deep when it passed me at that ridiculous speed. me likey that sound ;-p
