stolen headlamp washer jet covers
Hey All
Any ideas what to do here? Dealer said i need to bring in for service, make sure the jets function and get new caps (which will have to be painted) as they dont come prepainted. Seems like a HUGE hassle for two trim parts. Thoughts? |

had a similiar thing happen on my 1 series... some kids stole the towing covers on my car. I was quoted 10 dollars for the covers, but 100+ for painting.
I picked up the parts unpainted and used touch up paint instead. Can't tell the difference.

BMW sells the small bottles of touch-up paint, but BMW colors are common and you can get spray paint in most any shade easily and cheaply. I use www.paintscratch.com myself.

FYI, I've bought BMW touch-up for Sparkling Graphite (A22) and the paint itself is much darker than the paint on the car. Last time I tested and it became a black dot "mole" on my previous bumper.
