Jason / Mark - Serious signature question

Guys - This is your forum, and God bless you. You can make whatever rules you deem necessary, as you have done with signatures - but can't we at least have some way to understand what those rules are?

My current signature is 3 lines. When I try edit a single word on one line, I am scolded that it must be a maximum of four lines.

It's very frustrating. Can this be better clarified?

Yea the signature rules system is still a little bizarre to me as well, it may have to do with the way the text wraps when you are setting up a signature, images may also be included as being a line. In either case, i've changed the setting to 5 lines of text now. Overall I hope everyone remebers why we have these signature rules in place. Before we had these rules people's signatures were way out of control (5-6 times the size of their actual posts) and the forum was a mess to read. I think things are alot cleaner and posts are easier to read this way.

Mark - thanks bro. I do agree about the out of control sigs... hard to find the balance point.

Jason and/or Mark,

Why can I put a carriage return after the " | Style 159" in my signature but can't move this same carriage return before this same text to move it to the third line? I only see four lines in my signature. I'm trying to get the middle two lines balanced.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=30

the thing is dumb though because it includes HTML in the measure of lines, so if i wanted to change my sig i couldnt because the two pictures take up like 5 lines in html

right, exept retarded signatures like that are EXACTLY the reason they put in rules like that, my bad for giving the people in this thread who havent seen ones like that an idea of why the rule was made

and pointing out the flaw in the implementation of purly limiting the number of text lines in signatures

how horrible of me for actually CONTRIBUTING to the thread

i should be shot

i think it might be better for you to grow some sort of a backbone and not be offended, by well nothing? i cant even fathom exactly what your so upset about actually

this isn't even worth my time, but just my .02 cents, there are many people on this forum including myself that think some of the things you say and contribute are of poor taste and its just not cool to bash people because you don't agree. Share your opinion, offer advice but if you have nothing good to say keep it to yourself man. Goodnight
