Classic Cars

I recently went to a show and really fell for the 1969-1972 corvettes....I am relitively unknowldegable with cars beyond the basics. I am really considering getting one for a daily driver if possible however I have so many questions on these since they are much older and do not know where to ask so hopefully someone here can help me or atleast guide me towards answers.

-Can these cars be daily drivers, what kind of maintainance and upkeep would I have to worry about with these cars, can they be reliable and depended upon everyday

-How long can they last mileage wise, how is the gas

-what other different things do you have to worry about that you wouldnt be able to worry about with a normal car, can you go above 80 normally on on the hig hway...

-what would it take to add in say a cd player or such

this is for the corvettes 69-72...please let me know, any knowledge, insight, experience would be appreciated

I would love to have an older Vette ('57 to '63 maybe). I wouldn't want to use it as a daily driver. It just wouldn't be right to take a restored classic and wear it out on daily use. Ultimately, that would take one more beautiful classic off the road when you retire it to the junk heap after putting on another 80k miles. It's better to keep something like that for weekends and special events.
