Awesome pics of sweet cars.
If you don't mind me asking, how do these shoots come about? Do you get hired to do them or are they an invitation only thing for a group or what?

I'm a commercial automotive photographer and I shoot press photos for car manufacturers, mags, online "autoblogs" and the others I get hired out for. I'm also very close friends with many exotic car dealers and a lot of people with awesome cars. |

That Lotus pic have extra lighting? Or is the car just impossibly shiny?

I think i'd rather be the photographer.... since the owners of these cars maybe only have 1 or 2 of these cars and all the headaches of the expensive services and such. While, on the other hand, the photographer, gets to touch, move, play, then move on to the next super car/exotic. A super car photographer is like a player, they have their hand in every jar. the owner is like someone who settled down with a girlfriend or wife and has to have the same car all the time. |

Great photos! (The cars aren't terrible either, hah)
Do you mind if I ask.. what's the best way to get into your field of photo? I run a wedding studio (not what you have in mind when you think of wedding photographers lol), but I would love to get into some commercial work for car photography in the future. Is it like most other fields? (i.e. find someone to assist and work your way up) In any case, thanks and again, awesome work. |
