Also Baker Mayfield wants out of Cleveland. Lol. I wonder if he'd be better than Drew Lock at least. Not a fan though.

Yeah he's been rumored with Seahawks and Colts. He thought he was gonna get traded for Watson and Watson rejected Cleveland.

He thinks he's better than he really is. That's the issue.

Agreed. I just wonder whether he might be a step up from Drew Lock though. On the other hand, I also wonder whether this is a good chance for Lock to show himself and why he was drafted where he was. New city, new team, fresh start. Something to prove. He is at least being given a shot.

Nah, we good......ARod will take all the slights and criticism and motivation that you guys want to give him....and I'm sure this will be a big one for him.

27 mil for a WR? LMFAO. Then again, this is why the Raiders are the laughing stock of the league on and off the field. Meanwhile, we get to use that 20 mil to resign our Pro Bowl CB and a few other guys.....along with higher draft picks in what's supposed to be the best WR class ever.

Davante, have fun catching passes from David Carr....or Derek, same thing.

Not sure how they would have fit a contract like that under the cap. I think most people I know are glad he didn't accept our offer if indeed we actually made that offer. We would rather spend it elsewhere. Wouldn't be surprised to see us go after Julio Jones, maybe someone else for a little less money along with him….and then they will draft someone. Our WR corps as a whole will be better next year even if Davante isn't there.

That insane contract that AZ gave to Hopkins destroyed the WR salary structure. No way are these guys worth that kind of annual salary. So you pay a guy $28 mil and he blows his knee out in the third game.....now what? Packers will get a veteran or 2 (Landry?) and a couple good young receivers in the draft. They were WAY too dependant on Adams as it was (see playoff game against Niners).

Shit, please. I hated Mayfield even when he was still in college. Cocky bastard isn't anywhere near the level he thinks he is. Having said that, my team needs a damn QB! I don't have faith in Drew Lock but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

There's so much to unpack here it's insane.

1. If you look at the contract, his base salary for 2022 is - 1 million dollars.
