They tell the offense to "keep your feet churning" but if the defense then hits him while he's trying to get a few extra yards, it's dirty/brutal/unnecessary????

I'm glad he made his way out of football and into a naturally good fit. Yeah, he was our QB, but I felt that he was on his way to getting severely injured and forced out of the game. Glad common sense prevailed for he and his family.

I also mention him in the booth because, Joe Buck, Aikman, Collingsworth, etc all are annoying and or corny AF! Definitely need some new talent on every gameday channel.

This one looked bad, I agree.

On the bigger picture though, they throw flags in similar situation where the ball carrier, exactly like in this situation, keeps churning and the whistle isn't blown. A defender comes in, hits the "unprotected" player and gets flagged for PF.

If he's still driving his feet, whether on his own, wrapped up by a single defense, or part of a huge scrum, he is still a ball carrier subject to getting hit LEGALLY.

The thing is this: We ave seen MANY times where the runner is NOT going down, but "forward progress" is stopped by the defense. Play is typically blown dead. Let's for the sake of argument, remove the 'forward progress being stopped part', and the runner is still moving forward. The HIT itself is the issue here. It is clearly "helmet to helmet". No matter the circumstance, this hit was illegal.

What pisses me off about plays like this is not how the league handles them, but how the players association handles them.

You watch, he'll get fined and/or suspended and the players association will be up in arms defending him, completely ignoring he could have ended the career of another union member.

When will the players associations start standing up for the victim instead of the offenders?

And also, the play calling on defense is lame AF! Grandpa Rod Marinelli needs to go. Our Linebackers are standing back there waiting for the play to develop. They can't stop the run obviously. So why not try and at least Blitz the QB regularly to disrupt his passing. The one game Dallas needed to win since that demoralizing playoff loss, they fail. Pathetic.
