I know there is no in between with the X6. You either love it, or hate it. For me it was love at first sight. Although the tech and transmission have come a long way, my heart still belongs to the E71 styling.

I honestly didn't know what it's place was until we were in Spain and used one as a support vehicle at a track event. It's fast, roomy, reasonable cargo carrying capability and comfortable. Did I mention fast? Oh yes. FAST.

Edit: And it's a serious money maker for BMW, as well.

I had all the windows open and I'm singing my heart out to Marvin's "Let's get it on". And I'm into it. Not only the words but with the ooohs, eeees, ahhhhs. I look over and see a guy in the car next to me watching me. His mouth is hanging open. He was looking at me the way Judge Reinhold was looking at Phoebe Cates out the bathroom window in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I was freakin mortified. I completely forgot I had the windows open. Glad I had a V8 and the pole position at that light.
The guy must have been pinching himself to see if he was dreaming.

I had something similar but way less sexy happen back in my truck driving days. As I still do, I often offer my fellow motorists "tips" and various forms of feedback on their driving. It's always profane and seldom complimentary, but with the windows up - which they are 99% of the time in Minnesota - nobody hears it so it's just a pressure relief valve for me. Flash back to some time in the '90s. It was the first glorious warm windows-down day of Spring, and I was sitting at a light on a busy commercial street with probably 10 other vehicles. The light turns green and the car in front of me - I know, hard to believe - didn't move for 3 or 4 seconds so I gave "Sleepy" a blast of the air horns and - failing to remember that my windows were down - hollered "Let's go, fuck-face!" at the top of my lungs for good measure. Several other motorists and a few pedestrians took notice of my "coaching" and several laughed. Oops-a-daisy.

Yes it is my dad.
Then the conversation we had.

He doesn't think he can wait until next Friday to show me the estate papers because the Dr told him his heart may just stop beating

How the hell does Superman's heart just stop beating??????

OK, makes sense now. I thought you were responding to my comments about my parents, or thought you had a chance to stop my clock and come take my stuff. I feel better now.

MK gets stuff

Well, that is the other issue I'm equally worried about. I am responsible as the second administrator of the family trust with distributing Superman's stuff. My brothers will complain about his new wife getting stuff. And I will do EXACTLY what the will says. He already talked to her and she wants nothing but him with her. He's planning to give her 1/5 when she's legally entitled to 1/3. She will leave the "homestead" and move to one of the other houses

The other day, some jerk cut me off so bad I had to slam the brakes not to rear end him. And of course the purpose of his B line to the left lane was to crawl along. I palmed the horn and must have hit the voice activation and yelled FUCKING GO - The next thing I hear is Call John Doe. I laughed my ass off.

Same here. My parents are young, but now paying for not taking care of themselves. It's hard to watch and so exhausting because there is constantly something going on.

My dad got out of rehab Tuesday. He's been in the hospital and rehab for almost 5 weeks. I took him home, then had to go drop off his prescriptions. Then get their groceries, take them back and put them up, then go to a different place to get his insulin, then back later to pick up his medicine that I had dropped off earlier.

Yesterday was Dialysis..and that will happen 3X a week. Dr.'s appointment today, and one scheduled each week for the next 5 weeks with different specialties.

And then I have to check on them constantly because I'm scared I am missing something.

We're going to let this slide, since we haven't found any other style infractions. Don't push your luck by wearing too much cheap drug-store after shave or sporting an arm-band tribal tattoo, or the leniency will evaporate like a Red Bull puked onto hot tar.

I have a goatee! None of the others apply to me, though.

I look like a complete idiot in a baseball cap. No matter how I try to wear it

Please tell us you don't wear the cap backwards. Unless you're playing catcher in a baseball game, nothing screams "douchebag" like the cap-on-backwards.
