FWIW, I’ve only had it for 2 days and haven’t done a lot of miles… but all of these previous concerns including: ride stiffness, auto start/stop, climate control only on touchscreen, steering wheel not getting hot enough… I don’t have an issue with any of that and have been loving everything so far.
I was taking pictures at a stop and shop parking lot and a kid stuck his head out the passenger side window and yelled out “your truck looks ass!” Which also made me happy lmao |

They’re pretty quiet and road noise is minimal. You will definitely feel the road at times though |

Can you confirm if on your build sheet it lists performance or high performance tires on the wheel option?

Thanks to you both.
So performance are Continentals and High Performance are Pirelli. Appreciate the info!

My understanding is that the performance tires should be pirelli all season performance tires on the performance w/ 20” and the p zero summer rubber for the other 20” tire. The move to continental seems new |

That is one trick X1m35i. I'm pretty certain all of us in this forum would be VERY happy if you'd provide us with a bit of a review - just a posting would be great. Congratulations! Great color/brake color combo.

Car is still sitting at the VPC in Baltimore. Arrived on 29 October. Sat in Bremerhaven for 5 weeks before it was transported on the Apollon Highway. This is getting frustrating! Supposedly still waiting on trunk plastic. Im sure some others out there are also waiting. No updates from the sales manager beyond what I got 3 weeks ago. 🙁

Wasn't there a post somewhere that said the factory that made the trim parts suffered from a fire or something? That seems like a plausible explanation on the delay on fitting the missing parts if the manufacturing assemblies were damaged and needed repair/replacement.

Mine is also at the VPC in Baltimore and has been there since 10/25. Genius said that the dealer service center would be the one to order the parts and would be able to see an ETA - but alas there does not seem to be an ETA at all.
Guess it could be a while, which is very disappointing. |

We are all in the same boat. The article link below was posted on the iX site. If this is the factory where the molded parts were made it doesn’t look promising unless BMW has multiple sources for these “interior trim” parts. You would expect a company the size of BMW would have at least dual sources for most parts so time will tell. You have to expect that a fire of this magnitude would not only have damaged building structure, but all the manufacturing equipment inside. Hopefully BMW will be honest with us regarding timing as it is a factor for us.

Unless it's an X1 with anthracite headliner and black trim, you don't know for sure if the other production lines were affected, or if there was a certain amount of back stock for parts for the other cars that are being used. A lot of times I believe BMW times their parts shipments precisely to reduce space used for inventory in their production facility. If it's a 2 series AT or a Mini, could just be that those parts were from a different supplier.

Anyone on here have a car produced after week 35 that is not stuck with a stop sale or has been delivered?

The issue then is that just in time process breaks and the cars are then like this allowed to leave the factory to not slow production. When parts supply does return it’s then get the process back online and then sort out how to fix those cars that left the factory short of parts. Otherwise they never get on top of the issue. Frustrating for those affected but require to keep things moving for all the other cars being made and minimise further issues that need to get fixed. |
