The same crowd has these trends:

2010-2014 - hang small stuffed animal from rear tow hook
2006-current - install anodized GIANT rear tow hook
2000-2004 - LED windshield washer nozzles
2000- current - stick on Pep Boys portholes and vents applied crookedly and randomly
1990s- 2000s - CD hanging from inside rearview mirror

Omg. Me and my wife were like WTF are those little clips on the bumper?

You can totally tell safety is top priority for THIS guy.

Yeah no idea wtf the deal was with the hood.

I told my wife to punch it and get as far away from this dude as possible...in case any wheel falls off, the hood flies off, the bumpers fly off...

I was looking at buying a couple tow hooks for when I'm at the track just in case (god forbid) I ever needed them. I found out that most of them are not rated for towing capacity! They're just for looks! Go figure.

Dude, I honestly do not know! Most of the people I see doing shit like this are of the lower pay tier, which really baffles me. Stupid negative camber wastes your tires, and I'm sure their "suspension work" involves a hack saw and some bottle caps.

Shit, when I'm waxing my car in the parking garage at my place, kids come up to me ask if I'm going to slam it or add a kit to it. SMH

The only semi legit explanation I've been told for why people do this shit is for individuality. But this isn't individuality, this is trash.

I think it's hilarious that most guys can't match front and rear camber though. #garagebuilt

It's because they run staggered set ups. It's huge in the VW crowd. They have to run big camber in the rear to get the tire to tuck. They like running 18x9F and 18x10R. On a FWD car. I know. Retarded.

'Twas in Manhattan last Friday. Passed by an asian/hipster, college bar near NYU. The fucking cars parked outside were stupid.

There was a last gen C350 in the "Winnie the Pooh" yellow that comes with the C63 Black series. It had glued on rear and front canards, a Bomex wing, and BBS clones. Oh and an AMG sticker under the 4-Matic one.

One of the reasons I stay away from the city.

DUDE. I saw that guy on 1-9 outside Hoboken. He had a sticker on the side of the car: ///AMG Racing. My wife and I tried to figure out if it was 2 dudes, 2 chicks or 1 dude and 1 chick in the car.

Both had the Asian Bieber haircut and wearing hipster sunglasses.

I know! I'm H8ing... Hate hate hate. Like the archbishop of the player haters ball!

Sorry bro. I only hate cuz I don't understand the logic.

I mean I really want to understand.

For instance, I get why people love the Raptor, even though it's not always my thing. In fact, I respect it.

I honestly can't add up why people do this stuff to their cars.

The kicker is...a lot of these guys drive like total d-bags....which doesn't help.
