Searched for two years till I finally found a 540i/6 and I lucked out in finding this car.
 Previous owner had traveled to Germany often for work and picked up a bunch of euro only parts. After his '02 M5 was totaled he decided to swap everything he could onto the 540i, inlcuding the M5 interior  . It's safe to say I probably won't find a similar build anywhere due to the vast amount of work put in to swap everything and code the new parts in smoothly.  I daily drive the hell out of this thing. Full Dinan parts catalog thrown at it, I work for a Dealer which allows me the discounts to do so. 143k and counting!

01 330i. It's actually Delmarco's old car. I'm trying to get in touch with him. He made a video with his old E46 and his new e90 and he was saying he was never going to see the E46 again unless the new owner posted pictures online. Found out he posts on here from time to time.Here is my baby.

Mine was a 1991 BMW 318is. Diamond black, parchment interior. Was only available as a 5 speed manual.138HP. I bought a Dinan chip for it and a K&N drop in filter. Also installed a supersprint exhaust. Bought it used with 78K, sold it privately with 155K.
Loved it wish I still had it. Maybe the most fun I ever had driving was with that car until I bought the 1.

First BMW
Pretty much the old dude here. 72 years old this year. First BMW was a 1974 2002. White with blue interior (Sensitech--no leather in sight) Car had Weber Carb, 4 cyl, about 121 hp, no power windows, no PS, Sunroof, and those big bumpers. 2 door coupe, 4sp Manual--only type available. Great Car.
Have loved BMW's since. As noted in my signature, long string. I would have bought an X5 instead of the Volvos if BMW would have confirmed that they would bring the car out. Several dealers told me there was no way BMW would bring an SUV to the USA. Other than a bad bearing in the transmission of the 2002 (covered out of warrantee by the way) nothing major. We love our 2015 328D Sportwagen and 2016 X3D. BTW: If the 2.8 gas does not do it for you, give the D a try. It drives completely different. No much more than the 28i, and a very nice all around vehicle. Probably my favorite of all--but the 535i was pretty nice in its day. My hope for the next car is that a plug in hybrid diesel is in the works. Yes diesel, not gas. Sin Gas--(2 Diesels and a BEV)

My first BMW was a 1997 E39 540i saloon in Biarritz Blue with beige leather interior. I loved that car, and the V8 engine was awesome! I've paid my own tribute to it when buying my most recent one, a brand new F48 X1 in Mediterranean Blue
It cleaned up nicely for one of the shots I did when sadly putting it up for sale some years ago. |
