I never got into it luckily, there's far too many marvel movies for me to keep track of. I've always preferred the darker tone of DC movies but they also can't make a good movie lately to save their lives That being said I'm just not that into super hero movies in general.

Watched all the old knives last night. Chris pine and thandiwe newton. A decent movie, and you get to see thandiwe naked a few times. But it doesn't build to much of a climax, you kind of figure out the twist before it happens.

Yes, I agree you can see the twist coming. I thought it played out well and was worth my time.

Watched the new Batman over the past two nights, (thank god for streaming) it was ok I guess. I just don't think Patterson was the right guy for the lead.

He wasn't my first choice for sure, but it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be with him as the lead. I liked the dark nature of the movie.

I didn't mind The Batman. It's... different. I guess Christopher Nolan sorta ruined Batman for me. I just think his trilogy was so good. It's hard to beat imo. I went in to The Batman with mediocre expectations. Didn't know what I was gonna get with Robert Pattinson, but he did alright, I didn't hate him as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Zoey Kravitz as Selena Kyle...can't lie, i liked it, she was better than expected IMO. I'd give it an 7.5-8/10

I wonder if the price of CGI has gone up and they're trying to not spend the majority of their budget on it, or if they're just using cheaper poor CGI creators to put money towards other aspects of the movies. Or have their CGI people just gotten lazy? 🤷🏽

One of the major issues is volume. Whether it’s under Disney’s direction or Marvel themselves, the volume of their movies and TV shows has gone up dramatically over the last several years and there are only so many good VFX artists in the game. A close buddy of mine worked on many of the early Marvel movies. Even when they were spread a couple years apart, he would work 16-18 hour days sometimes a year leading up to the release of a movie. Quality work can’t keep up with the rate that the production companies are spitting out projects.
