Agreed. Issue is after 15 yrs everyone still expects him to be great like in his prime. Ask yourself this, Kobe today is still better than most starters for all other teams (minus the superstars) or not? If not then bench him and let him play Derek Fisher minutes. Agreed kobe is still good, just like MJ came back and played at 41 averaged 20 points better then most.

Kobe has lost athleticism, but is arguably better than before. They do need to keep his minutes down, but 32 or so would be fine. Taking him out at the end of the 1st and keeping him out for the first part of the 4th would probably be the norm, but the lakers typically struggle when he's not out there.

Just looking at the last couple possessions....after dwight missed those two free throws, I don't understand why Nash gave him the ball in the next possession in that high post. He wasn't going to be aggressive knowing that he would be fouled. Poor choice by nash which led to a poor shot.

With the risk of sounding like a kobe nut hugger, he was hot and should have at least been involved in the play. Iso, p/r with nash, coming off a screen.....anything.

Anyways, we just lost to the Raptors. Dwight ejected on a terrible call. We are awful and this may be the low point of the season. Going to the Bulls/Lakers game tomorrow, I have a feeling it won't be a good one.

Haven't watched many games lately, but his lack of efficiency seems to coincide with him guarding faster/smaller guards. It's maybe something he can do from time to time in certain games, or simply for stretches in games, but not all the time.

I think it's the combination of his new defensive role and his minutes the whole year adding up.

team is a disgrace. kobe needs to stop shooting like an idiot. if howard is not fed on offense, he won't play defense. there were rumors that howard doesn't like kobe before he joined the lakers, and its clear the case now. plus the players tuned out d'antoni already.

Say what you want but in my opinion and my opinion only when you have this kind of talent on a team and can't get them going in the right direction you should look at one person, the coach. I am a huge DAntoni fan. I have actually got to meet him and spend a practice with him with the USA basketball team. He is a great guy. I just think his teachings are not suited for this roster. Man I would think about getting rid of him, bite the bullet on the cash and get Phil back for a one year deal.

Again, just my opinion but I would NOT trade Howard or Gasol.

I was thinking the same that Kobe and Howard dislike each other. I don't think Howard or Nash could play with Kobe.

BTW, last time I checked the Lakers are 10th seed in the West. Now they are 12th. Wow
